I have to really kneel in the carseat and put all my weight down to be able to get it to tighten. There is still a good bit of slack in the belt (the seat moves side to side about 4 inches!) but it will NOT tighten anymore. It's like the belt just won't go past a certain point. There are no twists or anything visibly stopping it. </p>
