@mrsmate: it could be an option, but we want to go straight to a full bed and skip the toddler bed.

@Sweet T: nope. She would FLIP HER SH*T if she were in a sleep sack lol. She hates anything being over her legs while she sleeps. Blankets, her lovey, anything.

Does she wear a sleepsack? If not, you could try that. My LO is a few weeks younger than yours and I'm pretty sure that's the only reason he hasn't tried escaping his crib. I hope you figure something out soon!

We went to a twin mattress on the floor when this happened for DD. we had this arrangement until she was bit bigger and then she switched to a bed. I think I heard that the crib tents were recalled or deemed unsafe.

As soon as we saw DD climb out of her crib we took the side off to make it a toddler bed. Can you do that with your crib? 18mo is on the young side but i don't think it's too young. There is a period of adjustment you have to allow for your LO to get used to her newfound freedom. For us it took about a week.

I thought about that but I've heard so many horror stories about how unsafe they are...I don't know!!!! So frustrating lol

You could always do the tent that goes over the top of the crib?

Heyyyy everyone! So last week the inevitable happened. Our little climber figured out (at 18 months) how to climb out of her crib repeatedly and quickly. So we took the base of the crib out and put the mattress directly on the floor so it was super low. Well I'm currently holding her in my arms trying to get her back to sleep because she can climb out of that too. What do I do now? I feel like she's too young to transition to a bed...right? I have no idea about this lol. FWIW, we planned on going straight to a full mattress (not a toddler bed) when it was time, but I thought that wouldn't be for months! Do I try something else or go straight to the bed?
