He would stand up in the chair all the time! </p> <p>Also I do think most tables have lips, ours does. However it works out because you can angle it down and under the lip, at least on our table. I just have a problem with how wobbly the chicco is because it doesn't have a clamp. My baby is a very active one, who can't sit still for long. He twists and turns in the chair but he certainly can't get out of it on his own. The family I nanny for has one and it's great. We got the Chicco clip-on as a gift. It's easy to use. It collapses flat so you can stick it into a bag to carry it around - not a diaper bag though, unless you have a pretty big one. We got one as a gift with my first and used it a lot until I felt he was getting too heavy for it even if he didn't reach the max weight yet. I would only trust it being clipped onto a really stable restaurant table that won't easily tip over. We frequent Cheesecake Factory and they have good tables for that. They are really small and convenient if you don't want to use restaurant high chairs.
