Breastmilk does wonders. We would massage with a warm washcloth and then I'd put a couple of drops of breastmilk in his eye. It took about a month but it did clear up on its own.

We used BM and a warm wash cloth with a tiny bit of baby shampoo/soap on it. I also massaged and it cleared up in a few days.

We just used a warm washcloth as needed. I tried breastmilk but it didn't work the magic I was hoping it would!

The great news is that it just disappeared one day! We've been goopless for a couple of months!

I just wipe with my finger, and massage. Initially I used a washcloth, but I think it's softer to use my finger--I can really tell how much pressure is getting to him.

Yeah, my baby still has then at almost 3 months. Her eyes are super goopy in the mornings, and I'm constantly wiping all of the eye gunk off of her face. I use a warm wet washcloth every morning, and then throughout the day as needed. I need to be more diligent about massaging the corners of her eyes b/c that is supposed to help.

My LO had a clogged tear duct at 5 weeks and it looked like it was starting to get infected, so I took her to the doctor and they prescribed drops. Doctor said that putting a warm, wet wash cloth on the eye can help unclog the duct. He also said to massage the ducts... that can help unclog too. He said that about 75 percent of babies get clogged tear ducts in their first two months of life... it is super common!

DD still has clogged ducts at 2 mths... I use breast milk to clean them, the gunk just wipes away really easy. I'm going to start putting bm on a wash cloth & using it to massage the insides of her eyes. I heard that would help clear them.

Anyone have a LO with a clogged tear duct? Is there anything I can do to make it go away? Any suggestions for how to clean the gunk out of his eye without make it red and raw from being wiped so much?
