I was on clomid 3 times trying for my first and didn't notice any side effects for the first cycle, second cycle I had mood swings, third cycle was super moody. We never conceived with clomid for our first, ended up happening during a break. We used it again for trying for our second and I had the worst mood swings ever on it that time, I produced 3 (possibly 4) follicles and got pregnant with twins via IUI, they are due this month actually.

I did two rounds this past summer, no side effects. My midwives will only prescribe 50mg,l. The first time, I didn’t really respond much better in terms of a good size egg. The second time, I ate an avocado every day, and I had two great eggs! Unfortunately, I didn’t get pregnant, and they only do two cycles before sending you to the RE exclusively and I decided to take a break. But, I took it at night before bed, and again no side effects. I have PCOS and weak to no ovulation, and a luteal phase defect.

I used clomid to get pregnant for my first and second children. It worked on the first cycle both times, and I didn’t have side effects. I have a luteal phase defect, and it must have helped with that.

I did 1 cycle of clomid and I had hot flashes and mood swings on it, additionally it thinned my lining below my RE's acceptable limit so all my other cycles were femera. It did make me ovulate, I actually produced 3 follicles.

With our first son we tried for a couple years. DH’s SA was normal. My HSG showed clear tubes. My cycles were on the shorter side around 22-24 days and LP about 9-11 days. We were successful on our second round of Clomid, 50 mg, days 3-7. No noticeable side effects. It did lengthen my cycle on the unsuccessful cycle to 29 days. That’s all I can remember! Good luck!

@littleblessings: I can't speak to clomid but have you considered femara? Most people report the side effects are much more mild than clomid.
