@LaughLines: Just edited my post when I realized I wrote days 3-5 instead of 3-7. That sounds like a good reason to take it a little earlier. I hope you can start it soon!! Good luck. :)

@LAZB: My doc said days 2-7 because i'm concerned about having thin uterine lining (because of really short / light A/F after long cycles) and he said, since clomid can make your lining even thinner, that taking it on the early side would help let my lining build back up a bit more for implantation.

according to dr. google everyone is saying to wait until full flow. Just wish i knew that was actually going to happen! we'll see!

I was always told to wait until full flow, too. I took on Days 3-7 both cycles, but Day 1 was considered the first full flow day. Let us know what the doctor says!

I would wait until an actual flow. Especially since day 2 is pretty early for taking Clomid.
Definitely go by whatever your doctor says though.

last time i went to the doctor he gave me a prescription for progesterone to induce period (i have extremely long cycles, well over 100 days that end up being induced anyway) and he also gave me a prescription for clomid to take on day 2 of my next cycle.

So... the progesterone didn't work as it was supposed to (and has worked in the past). I was supposed to get my period after 2 weeks max, but it's been about 3 weeks and didn't get it. I talked to my doc and instead of giving me more progesterone he wanted me to go in for bloodwork, which I did Friday.

Over the weekend i started spotting... starting saturday. It is definitely not a full flow, so i didn't take the clomid on day 2 because i didn't think that counted as cycle day 2. Now i've been spotting for 4 days, still no real flow, and i'm wondering if i should have taken the clomid (or should i take it today)?

I called my doctor and am waiting to hear back. Has anyone else been in this sort of situation? Do you take clomid after spotting?
