Gyn prescribed 50 mg of Clomid. We tried the next cycle and did blood work and I didn't ovulate.<br /> Medical intervention freaked me out a little, so then I did acupuncture for a few months and my cycles started regulating. At 14 months we went to see an RE, did 100 mg of Clomid (nothing else) &amp; bam - pregnant. I took it in combination with metformin because my doctor said it might be more effective. Went off birth control, never got my period. Getting it started with progesterone didn't normalize my cycle, so I moved quickly to clomid. Didn't ovulate on 50mg, did on 100mg. Conceived on my fourth (but third ovulation) round! My daughter turns two in September :)</p> <p>The side effects can suck, but it can be a wonder drug. I got pregnant on the third (and final that would have been allowed) cycle taking the Clomid! I was ovulating but it wasn't "strong" and i had a short luteal phase. Progesterone supplements didn't help though. RE suggested Clomid to make the whole process stronger instead of just the luteal phase. We tried one round of 100 mg Clomid, progesterone supplement and IUI and it failed. 2nd try - 100 mg of Clomid, skipped the IUI and went to Paris for a long weekend instead. Also skipped the progesterone because I was so resigned. I succeeded on 150 mg dosage. We did 5 cycles on 50mg Clomid with no luck, and on our 6th and last cycle we upped it to 75mg and got our BFP :) Now have a healthy 9 week old. Best of luck to you! I got my BFP on my third cycle. My RE said your chances of a BFP go up every cycle on clomid. Why were you prescribed it, what dosage did you take, how many cycles it took, etc.</p> <p>I just spent the last hour reading about successful Clomid induced pregnancies on another site, and it was really encouraging. I couldn't find a thread covering it on Hellobee though, so thought I'd start one! </p> <p>Looking for something to give me hope in my first cycle on Clomid. :) </p>
