She said she typically will do the HSG after a few unsuccessful months of Clomid. Ours cost $500. I've heard most REs don't opt for an HSG until you've done a few Clomid cycles if PCOS is your diagnosis. Like those above I did an HSG as part of my first iui cycle and got pregnant. Our plan was to do hsg test on day 2 of cycle, Clomid start on day 3, IUI on day 14-ish based on ovulation. Sure enough I conceived on first IUI and carried to term (after 3 years of infertility and 2 miscarriages). My best friend also got pregnant on the same cycle as<br /> Her hsg test after 2 years of not getting pregnant (with Clomid, no IUI). Point being... My RE wants me to start Clomid soon and I was all pumped to get started, doing some research...and realized my RE never gave me the HSG test to see if my fallopian tubes are clear. Did anyone do Clomid without an HSG test? Seems kinda pointless not to check it out beforehand....</p> <p>My RE mentioned the possibility of doing it the first time we met, and then after labs and stuff, jumped straight to PCOS and Clomid. I had forgotten about the HSG...but isn't it her job to remember??? </p>
