The natural cotton/hemp/bamboo diapers are more resilient to mishaps like that. If they are made of fleece/microfiber detergents may be more likely to cause a problem. I'd say once is probably not going to cause a need for stripping. If you notice the baby's skin is more irritated, I'd do a couple of hot rinses with no soap.
