If I had a bigger bathroom, I'd probably put one in both, but unfortunately my bathroom is just way too small, so I'll only have one in the nursery. When LO starts solids, I guess I'll have to carry the diaper back to the nursery after being sprayed until we move to a bigger house that hopefully has a bigger washroom.

We did a pail in the nursery for all diapers prior to solids and pee diapers after solids, and a hanging wet bag in the bathroom for sprayed poop diapers after starting solids.

We have a large hanging wet bag in the nursery, and then a mini trash can with a small wet bag in the bathroom. So if its a poopy diaper, I bring it to the bathroom, spray it and leave it there.

Ours is in the nursery. We don't use a sprayer for poops. BF washed right out and solid food poops usually just roll right off and there's no need to spray. Occasionally well have a stubborn one and I'll just give it a quick swish to remove any reminents then wring it out and throw in the pail. Everyone's process is a little different and you'll find what works best for you!

Nursery. When we have to spray poop, I carry the pail in the bathroom with me which is right next to DS's room and then put the pail back.

We keep it in the nursery cuz we don't spray. BF poop washes right out, and when he started with more solid poops after solid foods, we starting using liners. Dipe into the bin, carry the liner to the toilet.

We have done a few different things, I think it's good to go with what you think will work, and modify as you go!

To start we kept bin in nursery, then in laundry room (had top floor laundry), we also tried our mudroom once we moved (bungalow), but laundry in basement now, then we moved change area into bathroom, so it's a no brainer we have it in there now. We never sprayed though, and carry dipes room to room when it wasn't in the same room as changing spot.

Nursery for first 6 months now bathroom for exactly the reason you said. I'd rather carry the diapers into the bathroom instead of hauling dripping poopy diapers to the nursery.

Before we sprayed we had the pail in the nursery. Once we started spraying I got two. Pee diapers I'd dump in the nursery and poop got carried to the bathroom, sprayed and put in that pail. Now that I change diapers in the living room I keep one pail in the laundry area and the other in the bathroom just for convienience purposes.

Nursery. There's just no room in the bathroom that we use for LO. LO only poops once a day, if that, so it's not a big deal to carry the diaper and pail into the bathroom for dumping and swishing (no spraying). Before solids we didn't rinse at all because BF poop is totally water soluble.

I put mine in our laundry room which is on the main floor and close to where we did most of our diaper changes. I really never change him in his room because it is on the second floor. I would put them wherever you plan to do the most diaper changes.

I don't spray my dirties (formula/breastmilk poo washes off fine right now in the washer--though it may change when we start solids) so I have the pail in her room near her change table. Our bathroom isn't really big enough for the pail anyway.

I'm trying to figure out whether to put the diaper pail in the nursery or in the bathroom, where I'd be spraying poopy diapers. (Also, do you really carry those things from one room to another?) Which do you do?
