Yes, I totally LOVE my grovia disposable liners. They are my poop life saver. I do not have a toilet sprayer so I just use the liners and throw away the poo. Daycare uses them too!

I've heard it's all about the disposable/flushable liner.

@blushink: I didn't even know that was an option until someone on the other CD thread this morning brought it up...and thus I started to re-consider cloth again. :)

@highwire: I could of written this post myself. You should see the loads of "clean" laundry on my washer that needs to be folded and put away. I HATE LAUNDRY and i think that's why i didn't do cloth.

Maybe the disposable liner option might be a better option for you?

@Foodnerd81: This is my situation and is what's holding me back from cloth for now too. My hubs is on board and everything, but I don't know whether this would work...

I hate laundry too, but it's only 1 load every other day. And I do tons of laundry anyway, so it doesn't seem like much more. I make sure that diapers are ready to wash when I put them in the wetbag (velcro closed, etc), so I can throw it all in without touching anything. And then I diaper from the laundry basket :) It stays in her closet, which is right by the changing table, and I grab what I need before I change her.

I find that washing cloth diapers is so much easier than a normal load of laundry. I just open the wet bag and dump them in. No need to sort and rummage through the house for dirty clothes. Most times I don't even bother folding the diapers, and I dump it in the dresser drawer. My LO wears the BumGenius AIO, which do no require a liner. It's one less step for me and makes it easier.

I do a wash of CD's every other day. But like you said, when you have a LO laundry gets crazy so I'm always doing it anyway. I have all in ones so I don't have to sort or stuff anything, I just throw them all in a basket.

I was never a big laundry fan but I've been ok with diaper laundry. My saving grace has been that we have a front loader that lets me save my "settings". So I have it programmed for a pre rinse, extra wash, and extra rinse on a heavy setting.

Another big saving point has been the Thirsties Duo Diaper pockets that have openings at both ends so it agitates out in the wash (you don't have to pull the insert out before washing).

Another nice thing about diapers is it doesn't really have to be folded and put away. I often just grab a diaper when I need it straight from the basket!

Are there diaper services in your area? They will often have different deals whereby you can buy your own diapers and they will pick them up every so often and wash them, or you can rent theirs and they will wash them, etc.

The only thing that is keeping me from cloth diapering our kids at this point is the fact that I HATE laundry (all of it, sorting, washing, folding, putting away). It is my least favorite chore, hands down.

Obviously, having kids requires more laundry no matter what, so I know I'm in for a big change in this department regardless, but how much does cloth diapering add to your laundry time? Does anyone who hates laundry as much as I do still cloth diaper? Did you just get over it because the other benefits were worth it?
