@runsyellowlites: @LittleGBee: @MsMini: @Mrs. Tricycle: @Weagle: Ah you ladies with all your long & lean babies! :D the CDs probably help fill out bottoms better! :)

I am pretty sure we'll have a short and probably chubs baby if DH and my baby pictures are any good indicators! lol!

@autumnlove: I will probably wait to see how bulky they are the first couple of months. Some pics I've seen seem like the CD is engulfing the baby!

Yes, I had to size up and down. I hated using the one size diapers the first few months!

I've only had to size up when we're near the end of a size. She's pretty long anyway, and the diapers make her even longer.

The Trikester is long and skinny, so the cloth diapers actually keep his pants up! Otherwise he'd have some droopy drawers. Haven't had to size up.

For the first few months I had to size up the clothes for the added bulk. LO is a long and lean baby now, so the cloth diaper bum is the only thing that keeps his pants on his skinny bum now!

I think it depends on the type of CD you use.

We use BG 4.0 pockets and sized her pants up immediately to 0-3 months when she was a newborn, and mostly sized up one size until she hit 12-18 month clothes at 9 months. After that, the diaper type and the fit didn't seem to make much difference because the BG pocket diapers are relatively trim (we use disposables occasionally). Granted, she was 9lbs. 9oz at birth, so she was out of most newborn stuff before she came home from the hospital. In general, she's long and lean and off the charts tall. It's funny seeing her little CD butt in her skinny jeans.

I hope that makes sense...

P is long for her weight so for bottoms I was having to go "up" in size anyways for them to not be short. CDs do give her a fluffy bum but I haven't really had any clothing issues. She's in her month/size onesies and a size up for her pants for length.... they go over her dipe fine & is always loose a bit around her waist.

OK, so I am on Cloth Diapering-brain mode right now so another post to go with the topic.

Since the one-size ones grow with your LO and look pretty big and bulky in the younger stages, did you find you had to size up bottoms or sleepers because of the cloth diapers? And if you also used disposables - did you need to use smaller bottoms then? Basically, how did CDs affect the clothing size situation?
