Thank you all for the recs! I didn't see any of these responses until just now -- I didn't get any email alerts!

I haven't had good luck with Old Navy. The things I've gotten have all tended to run really small. I would LOVE to shop H&M, but I don't live near a store :(.

I'm definitely going to check out the other suggestions, though. I haven't seen those snap extenders... that might actually work great for us! Thanks again for the replies.

Now that it is geting warmer, would onesie snap extenders help get some longer life out of some pieces? I haven't tried them myself. http://www.amazon.com/play-Organic-Garment-Extender-3pk-White-One/dp/B004YPQ5JC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1365418681&sr=8-5&keywords=onesie+extender

C is extremely tall and lean and Carters has always fit her linger than other brands. She has a long torso and long legs. Gymboree stuff also fits her really well as well as H&M, and Old Navy.

We CD, and I've found Gap, H&M and Carters to be the best fit for onesies and footy pjs. The couple pieces we have from Mini Boden and Janie & Jack seem to fit long, too, but LO doesn't have onesies or footies in either of those brands, so I'm not positive. Old Navy and Gymboree seem to run shorter on my LO. She has been around 90% height and 50% weight, so relatively long and lean, but with a puffy CD tooshy.

Oh, and I forgot Hanna Andersson as well. Both pants and PJs are great fit for cloth diapers and very nice quality.

My LO is long and lean and we have had good luck with Carter's and Old Navy. This held true for the carter's brand at target (just one you) as well if you are looking for budget deals. If you wait for things to go on sale they are both pretty affordable.

I personally loathe Carter's because the quality is complete junk and I'm not a fan of some of their business choices.

My 3 yr old son also is CDed and has a long torso as well, so hopefully I can helps with some recommendations!

In general, I have usually purchased baby pants in the next size up and shirts in the normal size he was in. From 6-12 mos to 2t, I actually hemmed his pant legs on jeans/cords/knits so that I could get the right diaper butt size, but not have to roll the cuffs (just looked cuter to be hemmed to correct length. During the time he was crawling, I did almost only knit since it was more stretchier than jeans. I'm also into basics like solids and stripes and tend to stay away from adorned/themed boys clothes. For some reason, "sets" of shirt/pants did not work fit wise.

Lastly, sticking to separates and not doing one pieces will probably work best for you. I stayed away from any one pieces that had feet. Footless worked best bc I could order the size up and just scrunch the legs up or roll the cuffs until it fit better.

For inexpensive brands, H&M has the best designed boys pants and shirts at great prices. The rise in the butt is very generous and the styles are cute. They have great basic organic tee shirts as well and cute sweaters and button downs. Socks (and later underwear) are awesome.

For quality brands, I love Mini Boden the best - their pants are also very roomy for diapers and you can order the true size. Also, Speesees, Zutano, and Under the Nile are great organic knit options and are roomy for diapers..

Name brands like baby gap, Old Navy, etc will probably not fit your guy, both because of torso length and small fit pants.

Hope this helps!

My DD seems pretty long torso-wise too. Carter's is good. I also like Gap & Old Navy.

My LO is 2 months old, but he's already outgrown all of his 0-3 month clothes and a few 3-6 month! I think he must have a long torso because smaller pants fit, but anything that snaps (like onesies or footies) is too short. Kate Quinn Organics is one of my favorite brands, but her stuff seems to run small/short. I feel like I wasted money on that stuff because he hardly got to wear any of it. No good! We have 4 ls Carters onesies in 3-6 month that seem to fit him really well. I was wondering if there were certain brands that fit longer torsos better than others?

I know I could just put him in t-shirts and pants, but he wears wool diaper covers (re: BULKY) and tshirts seem to ride up all the time.
