I am a brand snob, but I can't afford to pay full retail (and working retail in highschool taught me not to, they always go on sale!) I watch zulily, myhabit, hautelook, and babysteals for great deals, I shop at consignment stores and watch the clearance rack. I love to hit garage sales in high end areas, and I don't like to pay more than $3 for a piece. I'm really picky with used clothing though, no stains, no stretching, must be in new condition. I'm kind of trying to figure out how to build a "wardrobe" for my daughter, too. She is 3.5 months now. We have a great local consignment shop where I buy a lot of her clothes. I look for high quality brands. I get her a lot of Zutano stuff there- bright patterned overalls, pants, one pieces, etc. I'll also probably get her fall jacket/vest there (and those things I try to buy gender neutral, so we can use them again for our second LO).<br /> I just ordered a BUNCH of solid, bright colored onesies- both long and short sleeve. Having one solid color piece makes it easier for me to put together a variety of outfits.</p> <p>Until she can walk she will usually be in soft pants/onesies and one pieces. I bought her a few dresses, but they often annoy me because they get all bunched up in the car seat or the front pack and I think that must be uncomfortable for her.</p> <p>I also shop sales. I'm a little snotty about brands- but don't have the money for it! I keep an eye on Zulilly for brands I like (Zutano, Hanna Andersson, etc). I shop Tea Collection, Mini Boden, and Polarn o Pyret sales. I am a sucker for mini Boden- but they often have good % off deals- and again, I try to buy gender neutral so we can reuse it! We live in a cold climate and are outdoors a lot, so I bought her some wool long johns and stuff like that from a P.O.P sale this summer.</p> <p>I have found that the lap-neck onesies I bought second hand are a little stretched out. So I went to the Carter outlet nearby and got a bunch of plain white ones there. </p> <p>I have a little too much fun shopping for her. I need to focus on clothes for me!</p> <p>ETA: I can't believe I just wrote that much about how I shop for a 3.5 month old. The younger the LO, the less worn in the used clothes are I feel. We've gotten some hand me downs and honestly the ones starting around 2 years old, I find to be just sooo worn. Kids are rougher with play and wear by then I think.</p> <p>I have no problem with used clothing in good condition, though we don't have such good deals on them around here. I've often gotten clothes new and on sale at Baby Gap then used on eBay. In general I am not a fan of TCP, Gymboree and Crazy 8's quality and our H&amp;M never impressed me.
