I stopped shopping last month as we try to TTC and really don't need anything at the moment. However, I will definitely be shopping with the "maternity" eye in mind, buying clothes that will be more flexible with pregnancy.

I've bought a few maternity clothes that also work pre-pregnancy. Wearing a maternity t-shirt now. I have three actual maternity tops, two that'll work most of the way through at least, and one non-maternity top that'd fit regardless. I also have one maternity dress and one that'll work while pregnant. Pants, though... Pants may become a problem.

I'm not a big clothes shopper (more due to finances than lack of shopping passion, haha), but when I do go out and buy things, I have always found myself drawn to tops with loose fitting stomach areas, because this is my 'problem' area. Now, it just works well, because I know that most tops I like will fit even when I am pregnant.
Definitely staying away from pricier purchases like jeans that might not fit so well post-pregnancy, but on the other hand, I don't want to deny myself something nice if I'm not going to get pregnant for (another) year.

I stopped shopping and didn't buy clothes other than an occasional necessary piece for almost a year. My mom took my shopping for my birthday - I just found out that I'm pregnant. I'll have to take a few of those items that still have tags on them back...

I stopped buying fitted tops, skirts, and pants. I knew my body would change afterwards, so I didn't want to buy a skirt hoping I'd fit back into it one day b/c I may not. Luckily I'm back into my old clothes. Most of the stuff I did buy while TTC was stuff that I knew I could wear during the first several months of pregnancy.

I stopped buying things when we started TTC. I usually buy almost a new wardrobe every season and now that we decided to have a baby, that spending had to stop. It hasn't bothered me one bit. Saving money for the baby and it's future are way more important to me.

I stopped buying stuff when we started TTCing, because I really wanted to put the money aside for things we might need for the baby. I have a lot of stuff I've never worn, with tags still on them, and I figured I needed to stop. Plus, shopping was only a temporary fix, if you know what I mean. The high wore off pretty quickly.

I'm ttc and still buy things that fit; however, I find that I'm all about cardigans (especially drape front) and sweaters. I had to buy a few pair of jeans about 2 months ago, but I bought cheap ones that were on sale. I'm not intentionally avoiding things that won't fit when I'm pregnant, but I guess I'm subconsiously doing so.

I'm ttc and I still buy clothes. I'm glad that I have been because I was starting to really dislike my wardrobe and ttc has been taking way longer than expected.

I still buy clothes and I'm pregnant! You can wear your regular clothes for a few months pregnant, and you will be able to wear them after!

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I still buy regular clothes if I see something I really like. I'll be able to wear it after the baby comes, is my reasoning. Plus shopping relaxes me.

When we first started talking about TTC I told my husband I wouldn't buy any more clothes until I needed maternity clothes. I didn't want to expand my already insane wardrobe and then not be able to wear anything. But we haven't had any luck yet TTC and it's been stressful on me. I talked it over with my husband and explained I needed to break my promise because shopping is something that I enjoy doing and allowing myself to continue buying clothes if I want helps relieve a little of the pressure I feel to get pregnant. However, I do find myself thinking about whether or not I could wear something while pregnant when I'm shopping.

Do you still buy clothes even with a (hopeful) pregnancy in the near future? Or have you stopped until maternity clothes?
