I've been a big fan of TCP since G was born. You can get their stuff for incredibly cheap during their sales, and so far it has held up comparably to Carter's. I don't know about the toddler sizes, but my huge 9 month old is in 12-18 month, so they run a little big.

I don't love Children's Place, but there are occasional items that are great. I think the sizing on most clothes is pretty true, but I haven't bought outerwear or pyjamas from there.
I wouldn't pay full price, but it'd be worth it if there was a good sale.

My LO isn't born yet, but I did buy a few things from there. The clothes seem good quality. They have some kind of deal everyday so I wouldn't recommend buying anything not on sale that's for sure.

I actually only will buy special occasion dresses there that she will only wear a few times, I have experienced the other stuff doesn't hold up as well. Sizing is all over the place in my opinion. I stick to Old Navy, Carter's, Target for play clothes. Mix and match, cheap, and I think hold up well!

I've only bought fleece footed PJ's there and a couple of sweaters but I thought the quality of those items was on par with Carter's for the sweaters and better than Carter's for the PJs. The PJs definitely run large; I think the sweaters were pretty true to size.

Thanks everyone for weighing in. I think I have to do a mix of places I usually do an order from one place and call it done, but the sizes and stuff he needs are so all over the map! Who knew kid clothes shopping could be stressful!

The thing is that my son is hard on his clothes and I just don't want to spend any more than I have to...as an example, yesterday, he rolled around on some sidewalk chalk drawings and then got a hole in his pants!

my mom has a Childrens place across the street from her office and goes in there at least once a week during her lunch break ... she finds some great deals pieces for $0.50-3.00. she'll bring me a full bag of clothes and say i only spent $30. The tags are mostly printed in the clothes and the infant stuff is sized 0-3, 3-6, 6-9. I've found that they fit pretty much dead on but my girl is a peanut and in the 25th-50th %. I think the stuff is stylish and has good fit. I havent had any issues with washing or things getting worn but my kid is still pretty immobile.

I love them for my kids! My kids are hard on their clothes in general but they do last the whole season!

The waist does run a little small - my DS wears a 4T in Childrens place but a 5T in Carters.

no tags!! My DS hates tags!

For boys' clothing, I feel that the clothes are definitely durable for one season wear! Waist sizing runs smaller than some other brands, but not by too much.

I love their outerwear - coats, hats, splash pants, rash guards ect. My last purchase from there was a spring/fall coat - it was $40 and with the sale, promo code and free shipping it was $17 after tax, delivered. It's pretty great quality too.

I find their pants very size inconsistent but their tops all seem to run a little small.

Anything I've had from there has held up enough for me to feel ok passing it to my friends little boy.

The only thing that I really like from TCP are the pull up cargo pants. DS is 2 and is tall-ish (around 2'11) and skinny so the elastic draw string waist band works well for him. The size 2T pants are a bit short on him but the size 3T pants are a bit long. I have been buying this style of pants for him since he was around 6 months and they have held up well even when he was crawling.

I agree sizing is inconsistent. For the most part they tend to run small, but we have run into things that are large as well. The quality is just okay in my opinion. I agree that I tend to gravitate to Carters more.

If you have a Kohls in your area, you might want to try their jumping beans brand. They line is inexpensive and we've found it to be fair quality for the price. Many of LO's daycare clothes come from there.

Tags are printed on, and sizing doesn't work well for DS...

for day camp clothes for a summer tho, i think they're great

The tags are printed on, but their sizes are iffy. I got Chloe a pair of 2t pants that are too small on her, and her 2t pajama bottoms are so large they fall right off!

Their tops seem to be a bit more true to size, though.

tags are printed on. We only have a few long sleeved shirts from there, and they have held up well. I think they run on the small side. My 1 year old daughter is in the 20% for weight/height and the 12 month t-shirt we have is a little small on her belly.
I like that they have solid colored tops/ pants (and not just in pink for girls). The cotton is nice and soft and has washed very well.

I think tags are printed on the clothes, and I think some items run a little big, some a little small. I know we've had 12 month leggings from there that she wore when she was 7 months and they were getting small — and LO is 5th percentile in height and weight! But, we've had other leggings in 18 month that don't fit her yet. I think it depends on the item and it seems like sizing isn't really consistent even within the clothing type. But, I do like their basics for daycare. Target has cute tees and pants for daycare too!

My 3 year old son is tough on his clothes, so I don't want to spend a lot and I feel like TCP is a good price point for camp/daycare clothes that will just be used this season.

Anyone buy from there? Are they true to size, do they hold up well in the wash? Are the tags printed in the clothes (my son's been saying they itch)?
