Yes--I spoke to my doctor about this b/c I just flew recently. She mentioned the pressurized cabins affecting your body and ovulation. Interesting! I also thought it was interesting in TCOYF when the author writes that even if travel wasn't stressful for you emotionally, it could stress your body out.

I think it might be too late to get an accurate OPK, but I would be on the safe side and BD now like you are ovulating. Any stress or change in daily routine can cause delays in ovulation (I work nights, and working multiple night shifts in a row would throw things off for me). Good luck!

Yes, traveling can absolutely affect ovulation. If you haven't been charting long, you might not know your CM very well just yet. It took me a couple of months to figure out what my own EWCM is actually like, but once I got it the second or third time around, there was no missing it. Of course, every time you feel like it's wet, slippery CM, do the BD thing and hope for the best!

My O was delayed on my first cycle of TTC and that was right after I returned from a trip to Europe. I didn't feel particularly stressed, but it still seems to have taken a toll on my body. I would bet that's what happened to you as well :)

@char54: According to Taking Charge of Your Fertility, big events like travel can definitely alter and postpone ovulation! You might as well give it a go ;)

I never know what I'm feeling for....last week it seemed a bit softer? But really i have a hard time distinguishing what's what.

I have been having cramps for the past hour. Think I'll go get an OPK to see but CD20 seems so late to O!

No advice, but I've had two rounds of what I thought was EWCM this go round too

@Alivoo01: I have tried, but really have idea how anyone can identify their cervix up in there! Lol!

If you don't want to waste money on more OPKs, you could always feel for your cervix. Your cervix should feel soft and high.

Last week at CD 10, 11, 12 I noticed very wet CM and assumed O was on the way. On CD 13 I left for a trip overseas (without DH) and noticed my CM got dry quickly. I took OPKs on 11, 12,13 and only had a faint line.

Anyway, i just returned home last night -today is CD20 and I have noticed EWCM- not as abundant as earlier this cycle, but definitely there and more "egg white" than before.

Could I be gearing up for O now this late in my cycle? The jet lag really took a toll on me and with the stress of my conference/travelling I'm wondering if I had delayed O? Is this possible? Wondering I I should go get another OPK or if it's pointless.

Also my cycles since being off the pill have been unpredictable - 28, 25, 29 and 30 days.

This baby making stuff is tough!!!
