We have the crib sidecarred to my side of the bed. So, for her to get off the other side of the bed she'd have to climb over both me and DH. She normally likes to sleep wedged up under me or on top of me! But sometimes she ends up in her crib.

Also, how high is your bed? We started showing LO how to get off the bed the correct way from an early age. Just guiding her body the right way. There were a few falls, but she learned how to get off quickly--even before she could walk.

We had a bed rail on the side I slept on and he switched sides based on feeding. We most definitely feed off of each other. So if I am Waking up, he wakes up and vice versa. I have just learned to accept my little bit and how he sleeps. He slept all of last night curled up against me with his hand on my breast ( we aren't nursing anymore but holding them is a comfort to him). He is 2 1/2 and I can't imagine not co bedding.

we don't always co sleep but when we do, Lo sleeps between us. At 10m he's super mobile but still not walking.
he's never fallen out at night, when he starts moving it wakes me up.
I usually snuggle up to him when he's in the bed...

LO sleeps between us, and spends the night moving around the bed in her sleep: sleeping snuggled against one or the other of us, or stretched like a crossbar between us.

When she is in the bed alone, I just pile pillows on the edge of the bed. We have several huge stuffed animals that work well for the job, and are lucky in that LO doesn't try to get over them. If she wakes up and needs us, she cries or calls for me.

Hope this helps! LO also has a floor bed in our room that I put her down on at first, unless she is really fussy; then she comes into our bed with us when we go to bed.

What does your set up look like? LO has been sleeping in our room since the day she was born...she was actually born in this room, lol. When she was tiny she was mostly in our bed and then eventually a cosleeper/crib. She's been a pretty good sleeper so we don't mind having her in here. However, her first tooth is coming through and she fusses on and off. She never wants to eat but just wants to be against me. She's almost crawling so I'm terrified of her rolling or scooting off. I also need some space to sleep comfortably...when I move her about 6 inches away from me, she immediately rolls back. Sigh.
