@pelikila: the only reason I want to avoid having baby sleep in bed with us is because I am a roll-y sleeper and we have a queen bed. Also my parents did co sleeping with me and I slept with them until I was 8!! But who knows what will end up working when the baby comes!

@JessLC: The cosleeper is pretty easy to fold up and pack away, although sometimes if we traveled with LO we'd just have him sleep in his vibrating chair at night (he never slept more than 2 hours at a time, so I didn't worry about him being in there too long...)
We also have a pack and play. It lives downstairs in the living room, and for a long time, we pretty much only used it for the changing table. Then when LO was about 10 months old I filled it with balls and now it's a ball pit.
Now that LO is mobile, I do appreciate having a place to stick him for a minute while I go to the bathroom or run down to the basement. Also, once LO outgrew the cosleeper, we started using the pack and play on roadtrips to visit people. So I am glad we have both, but it helps that we bought the cosleeper used for $25, so it's not like I worried about the expense.

@Lozza: thanks! was the co sleeper easily packable? Did u think having the pack n play was redundant with the cosleeper, or was having both necessary?

We had one. It fit better in our bedroom than the pack n play and would have been better in comparison but we never really used it. We got more sleep actually having our son in our bed rather than next to our bed so it was a waste on us.

We had the mini version, and I liked it a lot... it was less than half the size of our pack and play, and since our bedroom isn't that big, it was a lot easier to fit the co-sleeper in there, right up next to my side of the bed.

Anybody have an Arms Reach co-sleeper? Do you like it and do you think it is comparable to a pack n play?
