DH and I used pillows and blankets. When LO was tiny she was in a sleep sack and DH and I each had our own blanket so LO was not covered in the middle. As she got older we started covering her feet with the blankets. He sleeps next to me without a pillow but I pull the comforter up on him. We have a king sized bed. She insists on sleeping on an adult size pillow (if we don't give her one, she crawls over and puts her head on my pillow and tries to sleep face to face with me). She still sleeps on her Merlin suit and my husband and I use blankets. LO slept between us in her swaddle sack, on top of the blankets and far enough away from our pillows. LO slept between us in a sleep sack way up top. DH and i slept with a blanket. The blanket was pretty thin and light. Our bed wasn't lowered. It was actually pretty high and I was always worried about LO falling out. D slept with us. He and I had pillows and he used a sleeping bag. I had a blanket (that E was never under) and E was in a sleep sack.
