We didn't move her out of our bed until 7 months, and then out of our room at 9. Our plan was to follow the AAP recommendation and make it to a year, but nobody was getting any sleep. Her sleep improved significantly when we moved her and we're all happier now. However, I will keep future babies in our room with the plan of trying to get to a year. I just like them close, particularly for middle of the night feeds.

We planed to do it at 3 months, but ended up doing at 6 weeks for exactly those reasons. He was keeping me awake while he was still sleeping and since our rooms are right next door, it was am easy transition. The video monitor was a huge help to ease the transition for me.

We moved my son at 2 months, but he didn't STTN until he was 1. DD is now 3 months and still in our room and probably will be until we move in a few months or if she starts STTN.

We just moved DS last week at 7 weeks and have a video monitor to keep an eye on him. We still have him in the pnp to transition more smoothly (we think?). So far,so good!

Can I just say I'm insanely jealous he's STTN?!?! Mine's still up every 3 hours!

We waited until sometime during her 5th month. We were planning on waiting until 6 months but she was getting too long for the bassinet.

We transitioned at 2 weeks because he was a very noisy baby and because he refused to be swaddled he would hit the sides of his bassinet. His room is adjacent to ours and I have a video monitor that I use to check up on him. He's now 9 months old.

We waited until after he was one. He was noisy as a newborn too. Those noises they make usually stop. We used to call them his sheep sounds. Lol

5 months and still haven't moved her. Keep delaying for going back to work, daycare start, cold, 4 month regression, etc. hope to move her son, but actually love having her close!

I planned on moving her around 3 months, but we ended up moving her into her room at about 6 weeks. We were waking each other up before. Her room isn't that far so it wasn't a big deal to go to her for MOTN feedings (since we were not nearly as lucky as you with the sleep!)

With DS we waited until he was STTN and that was around 3 months. DD is almost 12 weeks old and wakes once. I plan on waiting until she is STTN but that is assuming that happens in the next few months.

My DS is now eight weeks and we are truly lucky that by 7 weeks he was sleeping through the night. He is an active sleeper. What I mean is... We'll put him down vertically in the pack n play in our room and by morning he is horizontal. He also whimpers/cries, chirps, coos, stretches all through the night while sleeping. My hubs thinks we have the noisiest "eagle baby"(nickname) and wants to know when might be a good time to transition DS to his own room.

When did you feel comfortable to have your LO sleep in their own room?
