It has developed this last month that he starts really whining if I take more than five seconds to give him more food. We've incorporated more BLW which has helped as he can control his food; but some foods are BLW friendly (tonight we had soup). Well I want to instill good manners from the beginning; especially since we have established family dinners - he has to be patient while mommy and daddy eat too! So I'm telling him to say more please and not to yell at mama. haha! It was adorable to see how proud he was of himself and he really did get less whiny when he saw my reaction to his signs. I initially rewarded it just to quiet her, and then it really escalated. Since she already pointed and signed 'more' well, I just stopped rewarding the fuss, and only rewarded the sign or word. That is huge he's learned how to put his hands together like that! </p> <p>One thing our sign language/speech person told us, was once they have the basics, to make sure they define what they are asking for. For example, it should be "More Eat" or "More Milk Please'.
