It turns out that this may be a little more than a cold. He's getting a little wheezy and there's been a respiratory bug going around, so he's staying home today and taking care of himself while I work.

I try and avoid DH while he's sick, not because of the germs (just make sure to wash hands/etc frequently) but because he is whiny when sick and I just don't have time to deal with it since someone has to take care of our LO.

Oh no!! I hang around the hubby when he's sick, but I also make sure everything gets super sanitized after use (e.g. wash both of our hands frequently, tossing tissue paper in trash can, washing clothes and towels more frequently)

I make DH sleep in the guest bedroom. No joke. I just hate being sick and DH gets sick more than I do.

@chopsuey119: I'll already feeling miserable with my own allergies, and am working extra hours, so I don't want to risk getting sick.

Hubs and I've both had allergies lately, but now it seems like he has a cold too! I'm keeping my distance but feel bad for him. He's taking Advil Sinus which is supposed to help with both ailments, and using a nasal spray. He's also drinking lots of liquids and getting extra sleep. My dr said that claritin is okay if I need it, but try to avoid too much. I love my Hubs, but am definitely not hanging around him.

What do you do when your SO is sick?
