We mixed Formula and milk and she took to it better. We did this transition while using the bottle still. Then when we were all done increasing the oz of milk we switched to a NUK brand transition cup and she finally drank it.
We have tons of different kinds of cups but that one was the only one she would take at first. Now, she will take any cup but likes the Transition cup with the handles the best for her Milk.

First of all I'm sorry you're going through that. Have you tried an open cup? Maybe she'll take to that. Second of all, if she doesn't like that either I'm sure she gets enough through her nursing sessions. Also does she eat yoghurts and/or cheese? Those contain pretty much the same nutrients as WCM.

We did bottle feed from the start (pumped milk at first and then formula when I went back to work). He took WCM fine from a bottle once we transitioned, but refused to take it from a sippy. We tried everything...warming it, making it "fun", but he hated WCM from a sippy. We finally gave up. He drinks only water from his sippy and we're ok with it. He eats plenty of yogurt and cheese. I think he's got all of his calcium.

Does she drink water out of a sippy or a straw cup? When we took away the bottle and only gave him straw cups, he was not happy about it and barely drank any milk. He would drink water all day from the straw cup so that wasn't an issue. All it took was time. We gave him plenty of cheese and yogurt to make sure that he had his calcium. Since you're still BFing, I wouldn't worry too much.

I agree with the above. Just give it to her, if she takes it, fine, if not, fine. She will eventually.

Or try goats milk. But I don't think it's necessary to push it or worry.

My daughter wouldn't take sippy cups either. I think it frustrates some kids because it seems like a bottle but without the ease. I bought a zoli which was a game changer and 1 month later just use the take and toss straw cups and the thermos insulated cups when we are out. She still flat out refuses sippy cups.

Yeah my ped didn't stress about any more milk since I am still nursing. We just offer (almond) milk in a straw cup after naps and with meals and if she takes it good, if not, no biggie. I just packed up the bottles at 12m and called it good!

I think if you're still nursing 3x a day and your LO gets some other dairy too, don't stress about WCM! I'd still offer it in a sippy but not worry about it.

My LO isn't big on WCM either and his ped was fine with it since we still nurse 3x or more.

I didn't have a tough time with a bottle to cup transition bc my LO never took a bottle, but we did have a tough time getting him to drink WCM. Finally I stopped stressing about it. If he drank it, he drank it, if he didn't, he didn't. As long as he is getting yogurt, cheese, etc WCM isn't necessary. At 19 months now, he does finally like the taste and will drink maybe 6-8oz a day, but this didn't happen until maybe 16 months. Before that, he had maybe a few sips a day, if that.

My LO is almost 15 months. We introduced WCM at 13 months. She still nurses 3x a day: morning, after daycare, and bedtime. Side note: she is a boob monster and I have no idea how I'm going to wean.

We initially introduced WCM in a sippy cup based on her ped's advice but LO wouldn't take it. It wasn't just that she wouldn't take it but it enraged her: tantrums, hitting, biting. I thought WCM was the problem but my coworker pointed out it might be the sippy. So I tried WCM in a bottle and she drank just fine.

I've been occasionally offering a sippy cup over the last two months but she never took it. Two or three weeks ago and I decide to do sippy cup cold turkey. I've tried three sippy/straw cups and the most she's consumed in a day is a few ounces. My MIL stayed home with her the last two weeks and apparently stopped offering milk altogether. She also tried bottles with WCM and LO won't take those either.

I'm contemplating giving up on WCM. I'm not convinced LO needs it. Before I give up, is there a strategy I'm missing? Try again in a few months once I wean?

I'm not buying another sippy/straw cup on principle. When she wouldn't take a bottle as a newborn I bought over $100 in bottles and she ended up taking the standard Medela. She can drink out of all three types of cups just fine - she does with water all the time.
