It was miserable. I stayed home as much as possible, took hot showers and steamed up the bathroom and drank gatorade and OJ. I think I gave in three times to approved cold medicines. My sore throat, I just had to suffer through. There's really not much you can do about them, unfortunately. Popsicles can help alleviate some of the pain, though. </p> <p>Hope you feel better soon! Looks like there's illness going around. Both my boss and my cubicle mate have had an awful cold/flu and it seems like they were oh so kind to pass it to me, despite all my lysoling efforts to avoid it.</p> <p>The worst part is the awful sore throat. I can deal with the stuffy nose, but my throat hurts so much. I'm wondering if there are any lozenges that will help. I've read that menthol should be avoided.</p> <p>I'll prob check with my doc today just to be sure. Any other tips/advice?</p> <p>Worried about my little chicken, but everything I've read says catching colds during pregnancy is somewhat normal and we'll both be okay. </p>
