I don't remember having that much pain after, but if anything I just took more Advil. </p> <p>Just make you wear a pantyline or pad after for spotting. Also note you can pass a huge blood clot and it is normal. The colposcopy itself isn't what hurts, if they do a biopsy, THAT's what you'll feel... I also had three of those (punch biopsies) and those...pinch a little. Uncomfortable, but not too bad. I had another one about 10 years later and didn't even think about taking an advil; it was much, MUCH more uncomfortable that time.
