They do use that nasty coffee-ground-looking goo to "stop you up" after, which CAN look like a big clot (though not bright red/bloody looking) and does have a distinct odor...hmm. </p> <p>I say, if you're concerned (whether it be colposcopy-related or period-related), call your doctor for sure! I'd say there's no stupid question in this case, especially seeing as you haven't gotten a period in 15 months. Boo! Good luck, lady! I had bleeding right away that has been tapering off. I woke up this morning to heavy red blood.</p> <p>Since it's been 15 months since I had a period, I don't exactly remember what it looked and (TMI) smelled like at the beginning. I passed a big clot into the toilet 15 minutes ago. It doesn't smell like what I remember period-blood smelling like. I don't want to call the dr freaking out that I got my period, but I also don't want to ignore a serious issue. Dr Google isn't answering my question and my dr doesn't open for another hour anyway. Thoughts or experiences? </p>
