@PawPrints: Did you ever find anything? I always end up sitting with my legs crossed and never thought about why! I'm also getting at least some new chairs soon, if not whole dining set.

@PawPrints: LOL, I sit that way too all the time too. With shoes I'm sure my feet touch!

Yeah I actually went years without thinking about it, but eventually I started to wonder why I always wound up sitting cross-legged on the chair like a little kid, and I realized it was because it was bugging me that my heels weren't resting on the floor. At work and in my home office, I use a footrest. But that seems silly under a dining table.

Just tested out my favorite chairs in our house (we have two sets) and never thought about it before, but at 5'2" the balls of my feet touch the ground only. :meh:

We are thinking of swapping out our dining chairs for a new look. My issue is that I want my feet to rest comfortably on the floor when I'm sitting normally in the chair. Our current dining chairs (and, like, all chairs ever) are too tall and only my toes and the balls of my feet touch the floor, which is not exactly ergonomic. I'm 5'3" so it's not like I'm abnormally short. This seems like it should be a solvable problem!

Can anyone recommend dining chairs that are comfortable for a somewhat vertically challenged adult?
