You can always call your dr though and they can get you something to jump start your period and then hopefully your body will take over. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/coming-off-bc-how-long#post-24694 Wed, 30 Nov 2011 18:20:14 +0000 Witz 24694@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>I took birth control pretty much nonstop for 9 years (and definitely nonstop for the last 3-4 years), and went off the pill this past summer, partly accidentally (forgot to fill my Rx on time before being out of town) and partly on a whim, thinking it would be fun to maybe just NTNT for a little while and see what happened. </p> <p>My first two periods after stopping came like clockwork and were nearly identical to the periods I had when I was on the pill (4 days, very light), except that they came 27 days into my cycle rather than 28 when I was on the pill. From that, I deduced that I was one of those "super-regular" women. But then on my third cycle, my period came after like 37 days and was super heavy with lots of cramping. I had some spotting at in the beginning of this week so I'm thinking that may have been my period. I'm just going to wait it out till next week and then track for ovulation. I went off BC in August and my first cycle was 35 days and was very painful. Last month it was 29 days and much easier. This cycle we are TTC and I'm on CD23 so we'll see what happens. I got my period exactly 27 days after going off of the pill. It's been just about the same since. The two weeks after going off of the pill were really rough like horrible cramps, major PMS, etc. Then, the next two were fine. So I had that final period, never went back on the pill. Got my period 34 days later. My last period started on 10/18/11 and lasted the usual four/five days. Today is 11/23/11 I am 10 days late per my usual cycle (avging a 36 day cycle today).</p> <p>I've gotten the BFNs and don't "feel" pregnant. Just wondering if I just keep waiting? How long should I wait for it? </p>
