I forgot what it was selling (high speed internet services?), but it was about a Cowboy in a country (broke back mountain type) setting speaking this dialect that is totally not understandable (with subtitles the whole way) and at the end, you realize he was supposedly speaking Chinese (ie internet was so fast he was able to watch all these streaming Kung fu movies and learn to "speak Chinese fluently" while he was herding cows ...etc.)</p> <p>It was annoying in so many levels. The part the bothers me the most is, there was absolutely no effort made. As a Chinese myself, what he was "saying" was completely not close to any Chinese dialect that I know of. He reminded me of when non Chinese friends mimick how Chinese sounds to them ("Ching Ching Ching chong"). And they put subtitles to everything he says as if he were saying something meaningful. I mean seriously? They say wake up and smell the roses."</p> <p>Really?? I thought it was "Wake up and smell the coffee" or "Stop and smell the roses". And even if it WAS wake up and smell the roses, the intention of the saying doesn't really match an air freshener, unless your house is so smelly you need an intervention about your obvious odor, not the "appreciate life" as they seem to think it does.</p> <p>So stupid, but it's been grinding my last nerve all day every time it came on.</p> <p>Anybody else have a commercials that make your irrationally irritated? </p>
