I like my Summar Infant 3D Lite because of the storage basket! It does not do well with things hung from the hooks, but I love that the storage basket is so large. If you want to step it up a notch though, my sister recently got the 3D One and it seems like maybe it would satisfy your durability needs a little more. Still has the ample storage on bottom too!

I love my yo-yo, but unlike the previous poster, mine has toppled over on me if the diaper bag is heavy (I use a Mama Hook, not sure if that makes it tipsier). I typically just fling my bag into the seat when my youngest is out of the stroller, though.
But I’m posting to say that if you want to spend even crazier money on the yo-yo than the base price, I recently saw they’re offering some sort of zip on organizer contraption that gives you more storage space under/behind the seat.

I have the babyzen yo-yo and it totally stays upright with a diaper bag hung across the handle. I forget it’s there all the time and take my 11mo out and it has never toppled once (unlike the uppababy g-luxe we used to have).
It’s so expensive but so so so worth it. Not if you’ll be done with strollers in a year. But if you have a couple years left it’s totally worth it.

@MsMini: so I really like them both. I’ve had the tour longer, probably 2.5 years. I love love love the one handed fold. I don’t know of any other super compact stroller that has a one handed fold. When I’m carrying the baby, it’s so easy to fold. The buckle is annoying but I remedied it with some black tape (it’s a puzzle buckle that purposely doesn’t stay together when you take it apart. Annoying). The basket is small but fine. It pushes pretty well we had travelled a lot with it and it’s withstood a ton. My older kid is tall for her age and nearly 4 and she can still ride in it. Ppl complain about the shallow seat and yes, it’s shallow but it’s totally fine and my daughter has napped in it. My 1 year old also rides in it well too
I picked up the nano used from another mom. The basket is larger but stuff can slide out if you have a lot in it. It pushes ok but feels a little less solid than the tour. I like the buckle and seat more, especially the extendable leg rest. The fold is weird. It takes two hands and I have to wrestle with it. BUT I like that it accepts a car seat which would make airport travel so much easier with a little one. If I was to only get one from birth it might be the nano. But either I wouldn’t hesitate to buy secondhand.

Edit: also I live in/near NYC so they both really get a workout. I tend to leave one in the car permanently so it doesn’t get a ton of use but I often use both when we have both kids out. They both handle fairly well over everything except thick grass, snow and cobblestones.

As long as lo is sitting in the seat we can hang a bag on our mountain buggy nano, and the bag also fits in the basket. It’s great and I’d ditch our Cruz for it except that we’re in nyc so I like having the giant basket to schlep groceries or playground toys to the park, plus with 2 kids it’s nice to have the ride on board for when lo1 is tired

@MsMini: my third babe is almost ten months old and after hauling around my big Mountain Buggy for six years I splashed out on a Nano for Christmas and I LOVE it! It’s super light and compact so easily fits in the car or under a table in a restaurant (so it’s really good for travel), handles beautifully so is easy to push around and fit through tight spots in shops, handles rough terrain pretty well considering it only has small wheels and the brake is easy to use. My middle child is almost four and still fits comfortably in the seat which was also another plus for me, I also like the layback and the fact that my wee babe will happily sleep in the Nano.

I can fit my nappy bag in the basket but I’m not sure i’d be comfortable hanging it over the handle so I’ll often just grab my handbag if I’m only running errands.

The only things I don’t like is that there isn’t a window in the canopy and there are no zip pockets or compartments to store my keys or phone (and my wallet has dropped out of the basket when it was semi-full).

One last thought, if I’m going anywhere with really rough or varied terrain or we’re going out as a family and need lots of stuff then I would probably use my big Mountain Buggy rather than the Nano.

@bhbee: I have the older version of the Summer Infant 3D light and 5 years and 3 kids later it definitely isn’t holding up well and at this point I am basically ready to burn it 1/2 the time 😂 the basket on the older one was really tough to get into. Maybe I should look at the new version 🧐

@Littlebit7: how do you like the baby jogger city tour and nano? They both have popped up in my searches but I find the reviews don’t really offer a lot of “real life use” for some reason? Like do they do well on different ground surfaces?

so with any of the smaller strollers, you can hang two think king hooks much lower down instead of on the handlebar. We did this with our baby jogger tour. Your diaper bag will hang or clip on lower on the stroller and not tip. i haven't tried it with our nano (we have both strollers). I might be able to find a pic

Depending on the size of your diaper bag, we love our Mountain Buggy Nano. It has a small-ish basket though. It fits my diaper bag, but mine is fairly small.

I think you can achieve the basket part but probably not the hanging bag.

We got the summer infant 3d lite last year and it’s roomier than my last umbrella for sure. I like it a lot.

We have a Chicco Liteway umbrella stroller for my son and we have really liked it. We have to carry a lot of gear with him, and the basket is roomy enough to hold quite a bit and it is easy to get things in and out of it.

So, I might be looking for something that doesn’t exist here but now that our youngest is walking around the full size stroller is kind of overkill so I am looking for a compact stroller that can stay upright with a diaper bag on the back, OR one with an easily accessible basket. We have an umbrella stroller that’s seen better days and the basket is useless but something that folds small like that would be fantastic.
