@MrsHotDog: I wonder too. So many things we do that you don't and vice versa. I think of Gestational Diabetes test is also different. and the amount of ultrasounds too.

Okay, that seems much easier than I was guessing. I wonder why we don't do it in the States.

@MrsHotDog: Well basically we have these pads we put in their diaper, and if once the child pees, (and if there are no poo residues) you take the pad and press the filter paper until its fully soaked. then you mail it.

It's for genetic disease research...

I have never heard of this before. How are you supposed to catch their urine? Seems a little strange to this Texan.

I don't know if you have to do this in the States, but the hospital requires us to do a 3 week urine sample to test and see if everything is A-Okay in the baby's "urine" (I'm guessing they can do multiple test with the sample)

Well you're suppose to do it at the 3 week mark. Which in our case was the 6th! and I completely forgot about it!!!! yikes!!!
I will try and get it done by tomorrow and send it in.... but the test requires pee only and no poo, and well that's been pretty impossible seeing she craps a good 15-20 times a day

I feel like a horrible mother... funny how the second baby... is so not like the first one. I was so "I can't forget to do anything" cleary not the case this time around!
