That is absolutely something that would happen to me! Similar confession: I use (or used - if there's been one convenient thing about this pregnancy!) the cloth menstrual pads and would let them soak in a Tupperware container in the bathroom after use before throwing them into the wash. Well, my cycle stopped super early one month and I totally forgot about them. The next month I had bought my first ever Diva Cup (amazing, fwiw) so I didn't notice the missing pads. At least five months later these pads were still sitting in stagnant, bloody water in a Tupperware container behind my toilet. Imagine the horror. I didn't even consider them salvageable and bagged that in about 40 bags before putting it in the trash. We started part-time CD'ing with BG 4.0's when he was about 6 weeks old. I only have a stash of 12, so i would use them for 2 days on, 1 day off (pampers swaddlers/cruisers at nighttime and on days off). Sooooo, at christmastime, we went out of town to visit family for 2.5 weeks. We only used sposies durng that time.<br /> When we got home sometime in mid January, i found out i was pregnant and then was hit with a giant horrible wave of all day morning sickness that lasted for 2.5 months, followed by 6 more weeks of crazy hay fever. Suffice to say I felt yucky physically in general. We used pampers exclusively throughout this time. THIS IS NOT WHAT I FEEL BAD ABOUT. hahahahaha.</p> <p>ummm... when we had arrived home in January and right before the MS wave hit, LO had used a day's worth of cloth diapers -- about 5 or 6. There were at least 2 poo diapers in the mix, but i dump the poop and rinse them out before putting them in the wetbag/diaper pail. </p> <p>UMMMM.... i left the lid closed, and didn't touch them until today. six months later. i've been terrified to wash them/open the lid, but thankfully there was no smell?!?! there was some condensation on the outside bottom of the wetbag when i took it out... they are currently going through a rinse cycle in the wash, and then followed by a wash cycle or two... or three. </p> <p>anyway, just had to confess. and also in case anyone ever searches what happens when you don't wash your CD's for 6 months, hopefully i have good news to report at the end of the day :) </p> <p>thanks for reading! i'm gonna go hide my head in shame now :) jk :) </p>
