@Mrs Green Grass: Meds aren't included but ultrasounds/monitoring are so I think we might pursue it! I agree, seems to be a pretty good deal.

@Cait1: That's a pretty good deal! I'm sure that doesn't include meds, definitely see exactly what it does include i.e. all ultrasounds, embryology, etc.

@Cait1: I would ask the clinic if the $6500 includes frozen embryo storage. Good luck!

That basically means you 1) go through the whole medicated process once and do a transfer right away, and then if you have frozen embryos you can do a frozen transfer. Or 2) you go through the whole process and freeze everything for later. Then they'll allow you to transfer embryos twice.

No, it's one cycle of IVF with two possible transfers. If you transfer an embryo a few days after egg retrieval it is a fresh transfer. If you have any embryos left to freeze and transfer them later on it's called a frozen transfer.

ETA - sometimes you can't do a fresh transfer because of OHSS so the embryos must be frozen. Therefore they're offering the chance of two frozen transfers if a fresh transfer isn't an option.

Hi, my DH and I have just started researching IVF. A clinic in my area offers the following package:

"Package 1. $6500- includes one fresh IVF cycle and up to 2 transfers (one fresh transfer and one frozen transfer, or 2 frozen transfers)"

I'm an IVF newbie, could someone translate for me? Does that mean 3 cycles? Thanks!
