I wanted to come back and update because when I was searching for similar experiences, it was frustrating to see these types of threads without the end of the story!

This isn't the end, but I am now 20w4d and had my anatomy scan a few days ago which showed absolutely no issues with the baby :)

Pseudo update! I have an u/s scheduled now for Tuesday, and they wanted one more blood draw before then (who knows why). I just heard from my doctor that my levels are "great!"... so that's a little reassuring. It was the receptionist and they wouldn't give me the number, but I trust my doctor :)

@DesertDreams88: I don't think HCG builds until the baby implants...

@sslm: My first beta was a 7 at 3 weeks, 3 days, so they thought I must have implanted like the day before or something really soon. All that to say your numbers sound great! Congrats!

I didn't mention this earlier because I wanted to check my dates; and I don't personally put much stock in "my beta was ______, so you'll be fine!" but for what it's worth...

My first beta, on 3w6d, was 18. Yep, 18. I heard that and thought it was over. My number certainly wasn't doubling between ovulation 13 days earlier and then (if so, it should have been at least in the high 50s.) Yet, two days later, my beta was 80, then 304, then 1500+. Basically, it just took baby a little time to nestle in and start multiplying that HCG.

Also, forgot to mention earlier, my OB likes to see 50 or higher at 4 weeks, and I've seen that guideline mentioned many times on the boards. So... you definitely reached that, a day early!

Fingers crossed for a sticky rainbow baby!!

The really irritating thing about this is 46-955 (just found out the exact # yesterday) is a 39 hour doubling time (1 week apart). The 55-955 is a 29 hour doubling time (5 days apart). Either of those things would make me relax. The 46-55 in 48 hours is making me stress. A lot.

@travellingbee: not really! I saw my doctor and she did an internal and said my uterus seems swollen like she'd expect. She's going to try to get me an early u/s, maybe within the next couple of weeks!

We'll see I guess. I can't help but feel negative and worry.
