@LadyBee: With respect to the middle name, would you be willing to have two middle names: Lee to honour your father, and the other for your FIL. My LO has two middle names for the same reason. I don't like FIL's name, but we used it as the second middle name, as a compromise.

@ladybee: isn't his dad's last name already there anyway? And your dad's probably isn't? (Making assumptions which I do realize aren't always true, sorry!). That was my argument if Dh ever wanted to use his dad's name at all (which he didn't anyway).

That said I think Connor sounds good with a lot of middle names.

I think Conor is most traditional but not most common. I like it, but it's pretty common in our circle. In a six month period, our friends had a Conor, a Connor, a Connell and a Connolly. Plus DD2's godfather is a Connor!

I know of at least one middle-aged man in my hometown named Con. I'm not sure if he spells it Conor or Connor, but given that it's a very Irish-influenced area (Newfoundland, Canada), it's probably Conor. My dad jokes that you should never trust a man named Con (i.e., con man), but Con is actually a friend of his, so it's rather tongue-in-cheek.
