Consignment sale.

I like that its all gone in one sweep plus I think you get a very good targeted audience. You aren't getting people that are looking for rock bottom prices but people that are willing to pay for quality but just not new.

For example, a $100 jumper toy, I would think would only maybe sell for $30 on CL (probably $25 after they haggle). At the consignment place, you could list it easily for $45 and get 1/3 of that and know with fair certainty that it will be gone

I would try my hand at CL first and whatever doesn't sell, take to the consignment sale. But I'm a SAHM so I have more flexibility to meet up w/ ppl and stuff.

I'm planning on doing one of our Fall JBF events. There are enough around me that if something doesn't sell, I can take it to another sale.

I would sell at a consignment store. Easier and less stress.

I have some things I want to sell (I'm finally ready to let go of them) but I'm trying to figure out if I want to sell them at the consignment sale next week or on craigslist.

The items I'm thinking of selling are the snugabunny swing, fisher price bouncy seat, some bottles and my infant car seat. I'll also probably sell some bulk onesies and sleepers.

Consignment sale:
Takes 1/3 of the asking price
Everything will sell
Easy sale, no worrying about no shows
Bonus: I get in a day early if I sell

Craigslist:
Get asking price
Waiting for a buyer, haggling
Worrying about no shows

WWYD? I'm leaning towards selling just so I can get in a day early. A lot of good stuff is gone even before the first day because volunteers get in first, then sellers get in.
