May just have a snacking sort of kiddo. My kids are like that and will throw up they eat too much. I don’t pump often, but 3 ounces is what my 5 month old will eat. Eats every 3 hours ish.

Breastfed babies usually only take 3-4oz at a time, especially at that age. Both my kids are every 2 hours for the first several months.

@annem1990: he did seem to grow out of it, and I also made a conscious effort to start stretching his feedings by a few minutes each day. So if it had been 2 hours and he was hungry, I waited five extra minutes before feeding him. That slowly spread the feedings out and he would end up being more hungry and eating more, and so on.

@Jennibenni: Not that I can tell. He doesn’t seem at all unhappy when eating. What helped your LO? Did you do something different or did they just grow out of it?

Is there a chance he has reflux? My first had terrible reflux and ate small amounts very frequently until about six months.

DS is 4 months and will only take 3ounces at a time (mostly pumped milk, but also formula). He just refuses to take more than that. If he does, he'll have a massive spit up shortly after.
He's eating 8-10 times a day still. He goes around 2 hours during the day and 3hours at night between feedings.

When will this end?! Talking to other moms, kids his age are taking like 5-6ounces.
He's on the small size - 13lbs. But he weighed 5lb 16oz at birth so he's more than doubled.

I know I shouldn't complain, he's eating and gaining... I just look at my sink full of bottles every day and can't wait for it to be just a little less :silly:
