I don't encourage it. When she gets whiny i tell her you can always have your way and you need till be patient, sometimes i intentionally delay giving her something that she wants and i tell hey mommy is busy now you have to wait your turn. From talking to my friends, all their 3 year olds still whine, too. It was funny because she was complaining that her baby sister was whining the other day! I think it can mostly be blamed on development. She's figuring out how to do a lot of stuff, but still isn't able to coordinate her cognitive and physical developments. I imagine it's frustrating. She used to be such a sweet girl, she whined a little, but nothing like this. It feels like it happened over night. As soon as she turned 1, it's been whining over everything and anything. If I don't give her sippy cup right away, if she plays with something and she drops it, if she stumbles into something. All these things didn't bother her before! </p> <p>At first I thought it was because of teething, then a day before her birthday she got her last set of immunizations and she ran a low fever and was fussy for a few days. But it's been 5 days since she got her shots and she's still ultra whiny!</p> <p>I'm really hoping this is a phase and it'll pass. How do you deal? </p>
