Totally normal. I was absolutely RAVENOUS for the first 20-ish weeks. I'm 24 weeks now and my appetite seems to be fairly normal again, but I imagine the hunger could start again at any moment!

Make sure you're having fat and protein with all your snacks/meals, as that will keep you full a lot longer. For example, I find having an omelet in the morning keeps me fuller for WAY longer than a bowl of oatmeal does.

Normal! Lately I am starving all the time but can barely eat anything in one sitting. So I can only eat 1/2 my dinner but then am hungry 20 minutes later! And forget about it if I wake up in the middle of the night -- ugh! I can't snack after 10 or so because I have GD and it will mess up my morning fasting numbers, so if I wake up and can't get back to sleep it's HELL because I'm SO. HUNGRY.

I'm only at 9 weeks and feeling the same - always hungry! But I can only eat small amounts at a time, so it's like I am constantly eating/grazing! Glad some other ladies have had the same experience!

This was my story. Make sure that you're eating a TON of healthy fat and protein. I would wake up in the middle of the night craving butter and grease and fats. And protein! I was guzzling milk. And through all this I lost weight. My body is a champ at burning my fat stores while pregnant and then NOT while breastfeeding.

I say, enjoy it! Your baby will be perfectly healthy, and hopefully you feel like a knockout.

I had this around then, ESPECIALLY at night. I'd eat a bowl of oatmeal, a banana, a yogurt, some cheese and peanut butter every night before going to bed.

Is this normal? I'm eating small snacks every 1-2 hours or so. Today I had cereal around 7, oatmeal around 9, string cheese at 11, a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch at 12, applesauce at 1, a tablespoon of peanut butter at 3, and string cheese at 4.

And I'm drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day.

The kicker in all this... I'm losing weight. I'm down 2 pounds in 4 days and I've been eating like this for nearly a week now. I'm down 12 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm trying to focus on foods with protein to stay fuller longer, and mix in some dairy (I read that calcium is really important in this stretch since the bones are hardening), as well as snacking on fruits and veggies at home and incorporating those into each meal (like a banana with my cereal or a baked potato with my grilled chicken sandwich, etc.)... but I'm still losing weight and starving all the time!
