My daughter has always had constipation issues. She would go about every 5 days. My pediatrician recommended Baby Jarro-Dophilus (a probiotic) to help her get regular. He also suggested skipping cereal since it can make constipation worse.

mostly breastfed, formula occasionally on my low-producing days (I work full time & pump while I'm at work), and we've started pureed fruits and cereal (per the pediatrician's suggestion and that he would open his mouth wide and yell while we ate dinner, lol).
I will look into Pedialyte, thanks! :)

Is your LO breast or formula fed? If it's formula, have you tried switching? We tried lots of stuff too, prune and pear juice, bike legs, etc. The thing that worked the best was pedialyte. Eventually she started becoming more regular, now she's usually a once a day pooer.

Anyone dealt with this?
My DS is almost 6 months old and since about 3 months old he goes once a week. He never grunted, cried or was fussy. I called the pediatrician and he gave me a list of things to try - leg bicycles, 2oz prune juice & 2oz water, and lastly, glycerin suppositories. The first two times he'd gone a week without going, I was desperate to call the pediatrician, and of course DS finally went before I needed to do anything.
The past two weeks though he's been grunting and fussy and I have had to give him the suppository. I hate to call the pediatrician again (and feel like a worry-wort of a mom), but I don't want to give him yet another suppository... seriously, c'mon kid, let's go :/

Anybody have a LO like this?
