At first I started lining them with pieces of fleece (homemade wipes from old sheets), but quickly got tired of that. (I don't think you need to try blue dawn or bleach or anything since they're new) You could also try changing them more often since they've been soaked when you change them- if she has been in disposables where there's no moisture on her skin, it might just take some getting used to since cloth doesn't repel as much moisture ya know? I change DD's cloth diapers (all BG) more often than needed to keep her skin drier and she hasn't had a rash/redness issue since she was much younger. Again, just guessing- don't know if it will help but it's worth a try! The pocket material is different than that in the BG diapers and I find that her skin stays drier that way. I also use Thirsties covers with inserts and haven't had any issues. Also, look into using cotton fitted or prefold diapers and covers too and see how her skin reacts to that.
