Because of the different composition needed to make colors (white has titanium, blue has copper) they shrink differently. So something about the black probably made it shrink too much and that is why the spout is too loose.</p> <p>Or... whoever made the parts put the setting in the machine the one time they made black (and black only) with the wrong settings. A lot of plastic parts have a date on them, but these look like they don't so they have to recall everything except for the parts they know for sure weren't made incorrectly. So all black ones no matter when they were made). About 3 weeks ago my 19 month old gnawed off the spout. I just thought it was because he likes to chew things...as did my daughter. We’ve had lots of contigos.
