We have the diono radian in a Prius. Like PP said you have to keep the seat pretty far forward but the angle adjuster helps a little bit.

@ShootingStar: Thanks! I think after reading all this we might just have to go try out seats like you said, since really, there is probably no one right answer :silly:

We have a Graco Size4Me in our Corolla. It's a good fit, doesn't feel too big. We've had it in there for 2.5 months so far.

Thanks for all of the feedback! I have a Britax Marathon (not sure if it's Click Tight - or what that is) that I got a good deal on, but I have to decide soon if it's going to work for us (before the return window closes). Sounds like I might need to head to BRU to try some seats in my car. Luckily, I pretty much never have passengers, so I have a little more flexibility that way.

I have a civic with a graco4ever. The seat might be 1 click up, but it fits really well (passenger side). Definitely try to go somewhere that you can put different seats in your car- we planned to get the Nextfit until I realized the 4ever fit best in our car.

@rockinghorse: you should really try out the seats in your car. And for what it's worth, I hate my Pria 70. DH's Nextfit is way better.

We have a civic and a corolla and have been fine with britax seats. We have a pavilion and a roundabout and they fit fine. If you go to BRU they let you try the seats in the car to see if they fit. So we did that, then ordered on Amazon!

The Britax clicktights, Graco 4ever, and Chicco Nextfit are some of the most compact seats front to back! Oh, and the Cosco Scenera Next can be incredibly upright once a child can sit unassisted because you can ignore the level line.

Following... my 5.5 month old will need a convertible soon and we have small cars! (Civic) I am considering the Graco 4Ever. I like the Nextfit but the sides are SO high - I think it will be a nightmare to put a big baby/toddler in that thing RF in a small car.

We have a Hyundai Elantra and a Chicco NextFit. It only fits rear facing behind the passenger seat because my husband is 6'1". He can handle the passenger seat for a short time. If we have another, my oldest will be switched to forward facing.

We have a Honda Civic and have the Britax Advocate Click Tight. We were going to get the Chicco NextFit, but then the Click Tight seats came out and we went that way because the seat is in the center position and our car doesn't allow LATCH in the center. Both seats fit just fine RF, though we're not very tall.

I registered for a Combi Coccoro because I heard it is good in small cars. I have a Scion XD, so it is a quite tiny hatch back. Keeping my fingers crossed it will work! :goodluck: Anyone have any experience with them?

In our Prius, we keep the back-up travel carseat, which is the Cosco Scenera Next. Its cheap, super light, and doesn't take up a lot of room front to back - DH is tall and has his seat back perfectly comfortable. Its also slimmer profiled so there's plenty of room in the rear for passengers.

We have the Chicco NextFit in our minivan as the main seat and it has a built in leveler that allows you to adjust the angle of the seat so it doesn't take up too much room front to back. Its a little wider since there's more padding and what not.

We had a Honda Civic when we had one child and we also had/have a Maxi Cosi Pria 70. Definitely a good seat but still felt big to me rear facing. FF it was perfect! We got a bigger car when DS2 arrived and it feels more comfortable.

I have a Civic and I use a Diono Radian. It fits in the middle seat, rear facing, though it's a bit tight. Like, the front seats can't be put any farther back. We needed a seat with as high a height limit as possible, because LO is pretty tall.

We have a Maxi Cosi Pria 70 in our Corolla. Still RF'ing behind the passenger seat at 2.5, with zero complaints. Of course, keep in mind my DH and I are not tall people (me, especially).

There was a slight learning curve tightening the straps, but once we got the hang of it, it's been a breeze. Lovely, comfortable seat.
