We have a fold up table and if I need to I can set up a table, in the dining room, for our guests if I have that many people over! We don't use a formal dining room so it made sense to do this. Eventually, maybe it will become an office or something?? We lived in a house built in maybe 1950 or so. There was a big room when you walked in so we had half of that be the living room and the other half be the dining room. Then lo had her whole playroom off the kitchen. I loved doing it that way. We have a large kitchen so there is no reason why we need a formal dinning room. the goal is to have it done before family gets here for Christmas. The toys are getting getting out of control. It's right off of the kitchen and living room but it's party enclosed.
