We run it all night on the low setting and never had anything feel damp. I'm assuming it's too high (like the others have said)</p> <p>PS we tried out a regular hot water humidifier first and HATED it. I was definitely the brand but it would work well for a few mins and then start spouting boiling water all over the place. I agree with @Weagle - if it is getting things that wet, it's turned up too high. We tried it out this weekend and placed it near LO's crib, on a box about 2 feet off the ground, but it seemed to wet the carpet beneath quite a lot. I am nervous to place it on the bookshelf, even on a towel, because I am concerned that it might wet the books or even the artwork on the wall.</p> <p>Help, please! </p>
