We have the SoftGear, and I was also disappointed in the pastel colors but didn't want to hassle with trying to find a Cooshee. We have the pink. It didn't slip on the dresser, but we moved it off there around 10 months when she started getting heavier and more wiggly. We now use it to change her diaper on the floor and just slide it under the crib when not using it.

It's so easy to clean. Love it.

I really wanted the Cooshee but didn't want to have to go through the extra trouble of requesting it from a foreign site and paying premium on shipping. I ended up getting a Mebby Jelly instead. At almost 16 months, we still use it!

But the secret turned out to be the disposable changing pad liners! Seriously. It's the best thing ever! I have a liner on top of it, then a cloth cover on top of that, and I top it off with another liner. My changing pad is brand new!

We have the keekaroo peanut and LOVE it - Dh was so skeptical because it was $$$ but it is by far his favorite gear item. It doesn't slip at all on our wooden dresser and is so so easy to clean. Worth every penny!

I have a cooshee and the soft gear one - they're both awesome and I think I like them equally. My daughter is 14.5 months and fits in it fine - legs hang off of course but that's not a big deal.

Another vote for the Soft Gear My Deluxe. We have it in brown like @rattles, and agreee that it blends nicely with our furniture (white with espresso accents). At 13 months, and 33 inches, my son still uses it daily. I think the fact that it's 3-sided actually works out better for us.

@TurtleDoves: We have one that we used with our first and it looks as good as new for our second LO. It's super easy to wipe down. And my LO is quite tall and we used it until he was 2. As long as head and bum fit, that's all that matters.

As for it sliding off the table, we use a piece of grippy cabinet liner that we cut to fit under the Cooshee. It doesn't slip around at all.

I have the same one as @Ms.Badger. I have the brown, and it blends well with wooden furniture. I agree that it lasts longer, and the indentation is deep enough to hold any open air accidents. I recommend it to everyone.

ETA: LO is 10.5 months.

@TurtleDoves: The lack of the 4 sides makes it last longer and honestly has never bothered me. I have the blue and it isn't as pastel as it looks in the photo - it's a nice, medium blue. I love it and my baby loves it. Hope you find something that works for you!

I just found this one:

but it has a foam pad... I don't know if it's the same easy clean as the Cooshee... it's neat looking though!

@Bookish: @autumnlove: They discontinued it, but there was a brand new unused one on Ebay that I had my eye on. It is now GONE. So, now I am looking again. I am sure i'll find one somewhere.
Is this the type of thing I can get used and wash down with bleach and soap before using?

@BananaPancakes: great review! Thank you. The search goes on...

@Ms.Badger: I do like this; wish it were deeper and 4 sided. Also, the colors are very pastelly and LO's room isn't at all. It is def a contender, though if I can't find a cooshee soon. I needed one like, yesterday.

We have this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Soft-Gear-Deluxe-Changing-Mint/dp/B006OKU7O4/ref=pd_sbs_ba_1

I love it, it cleans so easy. For bad messes I just throw it in the tub and wash it in there and we used it for early sponge baths before the umbilical cord fell off. It is just on our dresser and has been fine, I'm with him all the time so I don't really worry about it. He's 27 inches and fits but he's probably only got a couple more inches before he's too big.

I looooove our cooshee! It really has been awesome and cleans like a dream. But you actually want something between the pad and the changing table if there is any kind of varnish. I didn't listen to the instructions, and we'll have to re-varnish the dresser once we're done with the changer because it has ruined it. It actually sticks to it like glue...so at least it won't slide around.

My son is 32" and still fits just fine. I'd expect it to last us through the rest of his diaper days. And I fully believe it would last through as many children as you want to have. It's great quality.

Looking to purchase the cooshee!
I am so sick and tired of our changing pad. Mainly, I am tired of washing the cover every week (although we have 2, but still) ad mostly I am grossed out by the ad itself. During one explosion, LO actually got poo on the straps of the changing pad. I bleached it and washed the pad best I could, but there is still a brown shit stain on it :) Lovely.

I am assuming the cooshee is easier to clean? And it'll retain its shape for lo#2 when we have one?
My husband's only issue when we saw it this weekend is that he thinks it'll slide and slide off our wooden changing table? It doesn't have railings.
My "solutions" was to put velcro on the bottom but I hate the idea of putting velcro strips on our solid wood furniture :/ No...

Mind you: our current pad slides and slides--another reason we hate it.

ETA: We have a 12m old; will he fit the cooshee? He is 30" long. We only plan on using it a little while longer but saving it for lo#2.
