Same boat! Work stress, home stress, 3rd trimester stress, and probably a little chemical imbalance going on lately... I was just bottling everything up and getting more frustrated by the second. I felt much better after letting it all out w/ DH, and then scheduling a much needed haircut for myself this weekend, and planning a lunch w/ my BFF to take a breather (since I never take time for myself). Learning to just lean on others when I really need help is key.. I was bottling everything up b/c I didn't want t burden DH anymore knowing he's been taking up a lot more too. Hugs

@SweetCaroline: I'm sorry you're so stressed! Dealing with the same thing, so I'm not the greatest person to offer advice, just commiserating. If you have someone to talk to in real life, make that a priority. I feel like I'd handle things 1000% better if only there was someone else who would feel my worries and anger are legitimate, and not just me making mountains out of molehills.

And I'm hoping and praying that this election will be over, really and truly over, in a week. I feel like we've time travelled back to the 1930s, and half the country doesn't understand they're chopping off the branch they're sitting on, and I've been holding my breath for months.

I've been dealing with a lot of stress lately too. Practicing mindfulness has been really helpful. I don't do it regularly, but when I do take 5-10 minutes to do it, it helps relieve a lot of stress. My therapist recommended the Headspace App and I found it to be very helpful.

I am sorry you are going through this! I have tons that can stress me out too! I have to tell myself worrying does not make anything better - it's wasted energy and remembering that helps me stress less.
I go to a work out class 2-3 times a week but heard of a yoga app - downward dog that has exercises to do wherever so I am hoping to incorporate that in somehow. I need to work on mindfulness.
Also saying what I'm grateful for and trying to recognize all the good things in my life helps me.
Good luck!

I'm looking for tips to cope with stress. I'm starting to feel the physical effects. I have stress at work (huge workload), stress at home (balancing chores, DD speech, general mom stuff), stress about my health (I need to work out!), stress about the election, etc.

DH is amazing, pulls his share of the responsibilities or more. I know working out would do me wonders, so that is first on my list. Are there other resources (books, websites) you use or activities you do that are helpful?
