Just found this. We let LO (11 days old) sleep with us after his last nursing session before we get up for the day. We have been swaddling him and this morning when I unswaddled him to nurse I found he was completely sweaty!! I felt terrible--he was damp and clearly had too many layers on (dipe, sleep and play, a+a swaddle). Now, DH who was up late watching the hockey game is napping with LO in our bed and LO is just in a onesie...I just peeked in on them and he seems completely content. I won't swaddle him again while he is sleeping with us, at least not in this weather.

He hated it and we sucked at it, so he was only swaddled for like a week?

I tried to swaddle him based on the insistence of some friends, but he really hated it. He co-slept (still do) and I felt safer with him unswaddled.

I swaddled her no matter where she slept until close to 6 months when she stopped wanting to be swaddled.

I stopped swaddling at 3 weeks because my DS slept better unswaddled. When I coslept early on, I swaddled. Now when I cosleep I don't swaddle.
My son is 2 months old today! :)
