@daniellemybelle: I don't see any reason to supplement if her weight gain is fine. Enjoy the rest!

I hope you're right - I just know that when she's sleepy, she'll stop drinking. I usually do compressions to keep her sucking. I wake up feeling very full which makes me think she isn't emptying.

I know co-sleeping regularly isn't for us but I wonder if we really need to supplement at night of her weight gain is good & she doesn't act hungry?

If she is hungry, she will let you know!

My desperation for sleep led to co-sleeping too. We have been doing it for about 3 months now! It's working out really well, and we joke that LO "sleeps at the tap." He wakes to eat a few times each night, but I'm still getting more rest because I never have to get up to feed him. It's working out really well and I believe it has actually increased my supply!

Honestly, this is a really good way to increase your supply. She'll sleepy nurse for hours, if you can stand to let her.

My desperation for sleep & LO's growth spurt has made for a few nights of cosleeping lately. I don't mean to - I usually start out side lying nursing & wake up hours later.

I don't want to make a habit of it because I am personally not comfortable with the safety. But another thing I worry about is that I have a low milk supply & have to supplement. When we do this, she usually goes all night without a bottle. She just falls asleep on the boob. I fall asleep too so I don't know how long she nurses. If she was hungry, she'd cry, right? I feel guilty going all night without supplementing but her weight gain is great.

The other thing I do worry about too is if she is nursing well enough to get all my milk out? If I go too long or don't have good sessions, it won't be good for my supply.
